Oh the hits just keep on coming. I spoke with the sisters of Benna Bowen, one of the girls found in Fort Bend county. They had no idea Stallings had written a letter to me admitting details about how and why he killed April Eaves and Benna Bowen. Stallings contacted FOrt Bend county officials claiming to know where two girls bodies were. They took him from prison and he led them to the locations. According to a news report in the Houston Chronicle, Sheriff Milton Wright states "he knew details taht only the killer would know" and that they are pursuing charges. Come to find out their excuse for not prosecuting is that he is already in for the rest of his life, why waste tax dollars on a trial. Really?????

Still waiting to hear from Stallings, in his last letter he claims to know who had killed Laura Miller. This is getting interesting again. I will update.

I have yet to hear from Mark, I wonder if he is playing games. What pisses me off are the PI's who claim to be so "into" these abductions and murders, seems their motive is only money. Unless they can see a way to make a dime, they wont waste their time. I have been working on this for a little while now, I haven't made a penny on it, at least I have some degree of morality, unlike the private investigators who only do it for money. I out them up there with the wrecker drivers at a car accident.  What gets me is that even though I have a full time job, I still manage to work on this and come up with the information I know. I believe Mark is trying to come clean. I dont think he is playing games. I dont think that he killed all the girls, but I know he had his hand in a few. 
No matter how long this takes, I will get to the bottom of this. There is no media person that I respect enough to give this info too. When this breaks, they will have to find another source of information. Those who ignored the signs, and ignored the hints I hope will be bothered with this for the rest of their selfish lives. 

Update

Well here's a bit of info I got on the down low from an undisclosed source. Apparently the Secret Service shut down the investigation. Why would the Secret Service be involved? From what I gather, Neal Bush was supposedly partaking at the parties with the girls. Now how accurate this info is is kinda out there, but I imagine a good investigator or journalist can trace the paper trail in respect to the Secret Service involvement in the killing fields. I will research this further and have made inquiries with the right people to look into this. I am not a conspiracy nut, but this is getting to be a trip.

The Texas Killing Field Murders as written by Jim Carroll.

It was a fluke; I had called the police when there was an issue about a homeless woman in my neighborhood. I was concerned because she didn’t look like your average homeless person. That’s where I met Sgt Mike . As he tried and tried to find this woman shelter and a place to go, he and I started talking about the dangers regarding a woman out alone. I had mentioned to him that I had been with Texas Equusearch, an all-volunteer group that searched for the missing. I had been on quite a few searches. I had been responsible for finding a couple missing young ladies, both dead of course. 

Talking to Sgt Mike, I discovered he had an interest in the Texas Killing Fields. I told him I had been out to the fields a few times and remember Tim Miller telling me there were more bodies out there but they will never be found. I just shrugged it off and paid no never mind.  Mike said he and a few fellow HPD officers and Jenna his girlfriend had researched the TKF for quite some time. That they have a unique way of uncovering the truth. He told me there was a guy named Mark Stallings that confessed to a couple murders but he was never charged with it.  I told Mike he should approach it from that end, make contact with Stallings. Mike told me Stallings would never talk to him because he was a cop. I told Mike perhaps Stallings would confide in me seeing as I am an ex con.

I started writing Stallings and surprisingly he wrote back. At first he was apprehensive and after a few letters and a little money put on his books, he began his tale of murder and betrayal.  He told me of the League City police officials that were involved in the kidnappings and cover-ups. How the investigation would lead to dead ends on purpose.  The cases went cold for over twenty years and it’s an issue that the League City Police Department does not want to open up. It will be a can of worms that will blow this case wide open.

My involvement with the team was quite literally a Godsend. I managed to get a serial killer to open up to me and reveal where more bodies are buried and who all was involved, including Tim Miller the leader of Texas Equusearch. Millers daughter Laura was a victim herself, found in the fields along with three other girls. Granted, I don’t believe Miller actually had a hand in his daughter’s murder.. He would tell me how it was his fault his Laura was dead and that he wanted to kill Robert Able, the owner of the Stardust Trail rides. That is the property where these girls were found.

Meanwhile the two investigators ion the case, the crooked cops Bittner and Slade were high and dry. They believed nothing could point to them but we have proved otherwise.

Operation HALT, a secret task force assigned to the Killiing Fields was created to try and solve it all. 

In a letter dated January 29^th 2014 I received a letter from Stallings admitting to killing two girls and a pimp in Houston. He laid out the details. He was also suspected of murdering two girls to Fort Bend County cops who took it with a grain of salt. When I called a contact I have there I was merely told since Mark Stallings is already serving a sentence of over 400 years for an escape attempt that the DA would not accept charges. I find that hard to swallow. If he did indeed do it, why can’t the DA file so the families can have some kind of closure? I’ll tell you what it’s all about; it’s about the “good ole boy system”. Southern cops have an unwritten code to cover their own ass. That’s exactly what I believe happened here.  As of today, no one has attempted to try and locate more bodies in the TKF.

After a meeting last week with Richard of the FBI, there was  some hope in reopening and having the Feds look at the details we have come up with. From the involvement of the corrupt cops, to the letters from Mark Stallings with his implications. We suggested to the Feds that they put him in some kind of protection. Granted he has written me a lot, it would still be great to have an actual living witness to all this and we can close it.

My main priority is to bring these girls home, Jessica Cain, Shelly Sikes and so many others that the families have the right to know about them. Mike is going to approach the HPD Chief and try to get HPD involved seeing as Stallings admitted getting these two girls from Houston off Westheimer.  What this case needs are new eyes and good investigators that don’t play into that “good ole boy”: system. Mike warned me that this was so dangerous that we had to take extra precautions to protect ourselves. I wrote Stallings a couple letters recently. One I had written has a photo of Jessica Cain. Since Stallings wanted me to find his own daughter, I hopefully tugged at his heart string enough so he can hopefully reveal where Jessica is. Once he does that and we can locate her body, this will blow wide open. The corruption will come to light and the corrupt cops can go to jail along with the group of guys who were raping and torturing these girls.

Story behind the girls:

Robert Able was a genius, worked at NASA and retired and had his own little trail ride in the League City area. Stallings worked for him. Able would acquire these girls to provide them for his “clients”, meaning he was getting paid to provide the women.  After they were done with the girls they simply killed them. Note: Jessica Cain’s truck and evidence suggested that it appeared she was pulled over as if on a traffic stop.  Could there be a corrupt cop? The lead investigator Bittner quickly shunned the idea saying there no way a cop would do such a thing and then nothing else was really said about it.

There’s much more to this and I will add on as we go. I will put the dates of each entry in.

Its 1am as I sit here at the desk trying to figure out what to say. A lot has happened. Houston PD Homicide has decided to open their own investigation into this which could speed up the process into looking for the remaining girls. I am hoping that the maps that Mark provided do lead to at least one body. Not to sound sick, but I hope we find Jessica Cain.

Why am I doing this? Why am I risking my life to do this? It’s all about finding the girls and exposing the corruption. I was told from the start this is risky because of the people involved. It was a risk I took.  It’s just the right thing to do.

I believe Mark is being on the level and telling us the truth. I also believe that as he writes me, he is remembering more.  It’s funny, here I am writing a sadistic killer who has decided to confide in me.  Am I insane, well maybe a little wacky in a good sense, but it has to do with these girls.  I was never a father, have never known what it feels like. I cannot even imagine what the families of the missing girls are going through.  I’ve seen death quite a few times, but never on a personal level.  As a convicted felon I have seen and been around some crazy criminals who I hope never get out. 

Dealing with cops I have learned to respect most of them. Most are good even though we hear a lot about the ones who make the agency look bad. Any day now I am expecting a visit from Homicide and probably the FBI. I hope they don’t try to play the heavy handed side because I will not talk to them.  I am doing them a favor; I am helping end this case that has been dragging on for over twenty years. So many missing girls, so many families searching for answers and finally we may be at the end of this tale of terror and horror the girls and the families have had to go through.  

Hey, its late but let’s see if I can get to bed early and get at least five hours sleep tonight…..

Just heard from a media source that HPD and FBI are trying to say that Mark’s letter are probably not true. That he is making this up. Really?  It’s the same way they have been covering this up for twenty years. Trying to cover their own asses in all this. The mainstream media wont report for fear of looking bad, but when, and I mean when this all breaks open, this mainstream media will be at the bottom of the totem pole when it comes to fining out anything from me. This takes a good journalist, a very good cop. Not the ones that seem to be looking into this. The general news media believes everything law enforcement tells them hence they stop asking questions. One way or the other this, all of it will come out. No more will the corruption be protected and off the radar. Im making this a mission. Oh I imagine they will try to get me to stop or shut up, let them try. It only makes them look worse.

Capt Brian came by and got copies of the letters and maps. He did this the right, did a “chain of custody” with the evidence.  I talked to him and a DA and now there is more hope in getting this out in the open. It will take a good investigative journalist to get this all out in the open. Law enforcement has a way of playing the media and making them stop asking questions, local media especially.

Quite a bit has happened since my last entry. Capt Brian of Texas City PD has not gotten back with me, I pretty much expected that seeing as he worked the cases from the start. I talked to a Texas Ranger and sent him copies of the letters a few weeks ago but have heard nothing back. I think what its gonna take is a law enforcement person that has no ties to this area or the officers to get this to open up. I am not sure who are the good cops and who are the bad cops. Typical Texas law enforcement. HPD internal affairs is even investigating Sgt. Mike saying he had no right to investigate this on his own among other things. I think they are trying to shut Mike down. Sad that law enforcement cant work with each other. Here you have a good HPD cop trying to get at the truth and they wanna can him. Makes me wonder what they are trying to hide. I have yet to meet a reporter or journalist that is willing to go the extra mile to investigate this without being scared off by law enforcement.

Well a little bit of time has passed and nothing has yet to happen. From what I understand Sgt.Mike is still under investigation by internal affairs. I will update his issue as I find out.

I've made a decision not to go to the reporters that said there was nothing they could do. What it boils down too is that the cops are shutting them down and they merely rely on what law enforcement tells them. Also, it requires a little investigative journalism and work. Most reporters want to do only their ten minute story and go home. They could care less.

June 18th 2014

Well, Friendswood detectives came to get copies of the letters and had a few questions.  A friend of mine, a PI named Ernest was present with me. It was mainly a safety issue, for I dont know which cops can be trusted. These two appeared to be sincere and interested in what was in the letters and what I had to say. Who are the good cops? I dont know. Yes I still have to watch my back closely, and thats at the advise of other officers who know about this whole situation. I do know that law enforcement are looking closely at a couple people and it is being investigated. I know that when this opens up, it will be an eye opener, thanks to me! Its about justice and getting these girls home!!

I received another letter from Stallings the other day. He is a bit upset that the off duty HPD Sgt Mike has stopped writing him. He claims he thinks he used him, maybe he did. In Mark's letter he claims to know who killed Laura Miller. He says she was killed not too far from the killing fields property. A journalist i respect named Craig is looking into this and I believe I have sparked his interest with the letters and what has been discovered so far.  A private investigator I drafted into helping me has also read the letters and finds them interesting, damning and quite unbelievable. He is an ex HPD cop from the old days, a seasoned cop. Lets see what we can come up with.
