Misdemeanor Murders

The gruesome murders of April Eaves and Benna Bowen has bugged me for a while now. Today I found out why Stallings was never charged or convicted. Fort Bend County Sheriff Troy Nells told me that the cases are not cold cases but in fact are kinda closed. They presented the evidence to the Fort Bend DA's office and he chose not to prosecute because Stallings is already in prison for the rest of his life.  They know he committed these murders.

So technically there is no real closure for the families of these young girls all because of a DA and the cost of a hearing and so forth. I wanted to make sure these girls deaths were not in vain.

Even if the families of these girls were not too keen on airing dirty laundry, Stallings should still be prosecuted for the murders.

William Reece was never going to get out yet they pursued the case diligently. WHY? Because Jessica and Kelli were not Benna and April. Jessica and Kelli were "good girls" from affluent families, April and Benna were street girls. Basically, law enforcement treats them as "misdemeanor" murders. Apparently they are disposable girls no one would miss.  The Texas judicial system ought to be ashamed of them selves. The DA should be embarrassed to call him self a representative of the "people". I guess justice only applies to the cold cases of the rich.

This just pisses me off.
