Seeing as Houston has numerous bayous in it, why cant HPD have a Bayou Patrol Division? Hell, even put up those Flock cameras to good use to catch people not only dumping bodies but also catch illegal dumping.

MORE BODIES FOUND IN BUFFALO BAYOU THIS PAST TWO WEEKS
Bodies in Buffalo Bayou
Timeline:
In total, four bodies have been pulled from different sections of Buffalo Bayou since Sept. 29:
- Sept. 29: Carlos Tzep Ajpop, 20, was recovered near Memorial Park in west Houston. An autopsy confirmed he sustained a gunshot wound.
- Oct. 2: Oliver Ortiz, 20, was found near the Magnolia Park area in east Houston. An autopsy determined he also sustained a gunshot wound.
- Oct. 13: An unidentified male was discovered by a construction site in the Second Ward. Cause of death remains pending.
- Oct. 14: An unidentified male in his early 20s was recovered near James Bute Park in Downtown Houston. Cause of death remains pending.

Yet another body found in Buffalo Bayou.
Carl Mueller’s family has confirmed that he was the man found deceased along the banks of Buffalo Bayou near the 2200 block of Nance St. on August 11, 2026, around 3:10 PM.
Carl was last heard from on July 30 in the 1400 block of St. Joseph Pkwy. His family became concerned after repeated calls went unanswered. They said he had not paid his rent, picked up important medication or attended scheduled medical appointments.
According to HPD officers responded to the bayou on August 11, 2026, around 3:10 PM and found a man in an advanced state of decomposition. Police said there were no obvious signs of trauma.
At the time of HPD’s initial announcement, the man’s identity had not been verified publicly. Carl’s family has since learned that it was him.
His cause of death remains pending an autopsy by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. The circumstances surrounding his disappearance and death have not been determined.
Carl’s family is searching for answers about what happened between the last time he was heard from and the day he was found.
